Russell R. DeLuca, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Russell DeLuca, M.D., F.A.C.P. was born in Newark, New Jersey. He earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1977, his post-graduate degree from University of Pittsburgh - Graduate School of Public Health in 1978, and his medical degree from UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School in 1982. He did his residency at the UMDNJ-Rutgers, 1982-1985 and his fellowship University of Maryland Cancer Center, 1985-1988, in Hematology-Oncology.

Dr. DeLuca has been in private practice since 1988 with Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates, P.A., since 1994 has been a medical director with Hospice of the Chesapeake and since 1995 has been the Chief of Oncology at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Dr. DeLuca is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology, Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Dr. DeLuca is the Medical Director for the North Team in Anne Arundel County.

Peter Graze, M.D., F.A.C.P.

Peter Graze, M.D., F.A.C.P. was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in New York City. He graduated from Tufts University in 1967 and Harvard Medical School in 1971. Dr. Graze completed an internal medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, and a fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at the UCLA Center for Health Sciences. He was an Associate Professor, and subsequently a Professor of Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Dr. Graze was Chief of Staff of the Nathan Adelson Hospice, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the country's first in-patient hospice, in the late 1980's. He moved to Maryland in 1992 and joined Hospice of the Chesapeake in 1996.

Dr. Graze is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, medical oncology, and palliative medicine. He is also President of the Maryland and District of Columbia Society of Clinical Oncology (MDCSCO), and a partner at the Annapolis Oncology Center.

Dr. Graze is the Medical Director for the South Team in Anne Arundel County.

Michael J. LaPenta, M.D., F.A.A.F.P., D.A.B.H.P.M.

Michael J. LaPenta, M.D. was born in Wilmington, Delaware. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio in 1970 and his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia Health Sciences Division at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia in 1974. Dr. LaPenta was a resident and chief resident at the Family Practice Department of the Naval Regional Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina from 1975 to July 1977; he did his internship at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina from 1974 to July 1975.

Dr. LaPenta served as staff physician at the Naval Regional Medical Clinic in Annapolis, Maryland from 1979 to 1982 and then, also as Staff Physician, at the Naval Hospital, also in Annapolis, from 1977 to June 1979. Most of his professional career was in private practice with Annapolis Primary Care from 1982 to 2003. Between 2003 and 2005, Dr. LaPenta was a staff physician at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland and then the assistant senior medical officer for the Bureau of Naval Personnel in Washington, DC. He now serves as the chief medical office for Hospice of the Chesapeake in Annapolis, Maryland.

Dr. LaPenta was recognized in the November 2000 issue of Baltimore Magazine in the 100 Best Doctors feature article and also in the 1998 issue of Maryland Academy of Family Physicians' journal in the Maryland Family Physician of the Year feature article.

Dr. LaPenta is the Medical Director for Anne Arundel County and is the Chief Medical Officer for Hospice of the Chesapeake.

Frank M. Ryan, M.D.

Frank M. Ryan, M.D., earned his doctor of medicine from Pennsylvania State University in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ryan completed an internship and internal medicine residency at George Washington University Hospital and was the Chief Medical Assistant at the Veterans Administration Hospital, both in Washington, D.C. and fellowship in hematology/medical oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC.

Dr. Ryan was the Chief of the Ambulatory Evaluation Clinic at the Veterans Administration Hospital during the late 1970's. He has been in private practice internal medicine since 1979. He is a founding member of Maryland Health Care Associates.

Dr. Ryan certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is a member of many professional organizations and societies. A few but not all include the Prince George's County Medical Society, the American Geriatrics Society, the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and the American Pain Society.

Dr. Ryan is a Medical Director for the West Team in Prince George's County.

Martin D. Weltz, D.O.

Martin Weltz, D.O. received his doctor of osteopathy degree from Kansas City University School of Medicine and Bioscience, Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Weltz completed a rotating internship, residency in internal medicine, and fellowship in hematology/medical oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. He also was a Clinical Associate-post fellowship in Clinical Pharmacology in the Division of Cancer Treatment, Medicine Branch, National Cancer Institute, NIH, Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Weltz also earned a Master of Public Health degree and Master of Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, and School of Professional Studies, Business, and Education respectively in Baltimore, Maryland. He serves as Chairman and Founder of the Tumor Board and Cancer Committee at Doctor's Community Hospital, Lanham, Maryland, and is the former Chief of staff at Laurel Regional Hospital.

Dr. Weltz is a Medical Director for the West Team in Prince George's County.
