Welcome to Hospice of the Chesapeake’s Inaugural
Blue Crab Fun Run!
Join us in Charles County for a day of community, fitness, and fun!
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, October 5, 2024
- Time: 9am to 1pm
- Location: Regency Stadium, Home of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs
- Weather: Event takes place rain or shine.
Activities:
- Family-Friendly 5K: Lace up your shoes for a fun run or walk at your own pace!
- Register as a Team: Be creative with fun attire and let your spirit shine through!
- Memorial Walk/Run: Register in honor of your loved one. Create and wear a shirt in their honor.
- 1K for Kids: Bring the little ones, ages 8 and under, for a festive 1K. (Strollers allowed!)
- Post-Race Party: Enjoy music, local vendors and food trucks, and fun activities!
- Visit local community vendors.

Every day, close to 85 hospice patients and their families turn to our care teams in Charles County, more than ever before. Hospice of the Chesapeake is committed to providing the highest quality care for all regardless of their inability to pay. Your support ensures we can continue our commitment to provide supportive, hospice, and bereavement care for all those who are experiencing serious illness and loss in Charles County.

- 9:30 am - Opening Ceremony
- 9:45 am - Group 1 Warm-Ups & Run
- 10:00 am - Group 2 Warm-Ups & Run
- 10:15 am - Group 3 Warm-Ups & Run
- 10:00 am to 1:00 pm - Community event & post-race party
Food & Drink
Delicious bites & sips from local food trucks and vendors will be available for purchase from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
