Annual Signature Events
Signature events are essential to our fundraising activities. Each of these events assists in raising critical dollars to support the mission of the organization as well as provides excellent opportunities to educate and engage new community members.
Hospice of the Chesapeake is always seeking companies and organizations who are interested in developing sponsor or partner relationships. Being a sponsor is a great way of giving back to your community while providing exposure for your business. This shows your employees and customers that your business recognizes the importance of the services we provide and that you are invested in our success. Corporate sponsors will receive special opportunities and benefits at our major fundraising events and recognition on our website and through social media. Memorial services provide a time for families to remember loved ones who were cared for by Hospice of the Chesapeake and its affiliates. Our services will provide opportunities to remember and honor loved ones who have passed away and will include music, reflections, displaying of names, and candle lighting. Our May 21 service also features a Butterfly Release (butterflies can be purchased during registration).
The culinary event begins with cocktail hour, followed by delicious dishes created by Maryland Country Caterers paired with the vineyard’s finest wines, all designed to delight your palate. Features of the event include a live auction with pieces from local artisans, exciting travel packages, and more to benefit all the programs that Hospice of the Chesapeake offers to community families during their most difficult times.
Fashion for a Cause
Fashion for a Cause is a fun evening of runway fashion and luxury automobiles held annually at Porsche of Annapolis. This event raises essential funds which directly support Hospice of the Chesapeake’s Chesapeake Kids Program.
The Hospice Gala is the single largest fundraising event we hold annually. Typically, this event draws approximately 500 attendees and raises more than $500,000 to support the mission of Hospice of the Chesapeake.
The golf tournament is held annually in the Fall at Queenstown Harbor Golf Course. This event typically draws more than 200 area golfers and raises $100,000 to support the mission of Hospice of the Chesapeake.
